Trying out a new tank. Gotta make that black tank fit better...Gotta cut a gutter to have it flow better...supposed to be my long distance tank. . It will change the overall feel of the bike so a lot has to be done to harmonize the design. thinking 21 inch front wheel and some 10 inch apes.

Right! You know how much I love rat rods. I've got intentions of blinging her out at least for a minute.
I'm thinking of trying to restore an old bike thats been sitting in a garage for like 15 years but I'm a little intimidated because I've never been really mechanically inclined. All the car guys I know never had any formal training and they tell me to just jump in and start tinkering. How much work do you do yourself on your bikes and do you have any training or do you just use books/internet?
never had any training either. Get a shop manual for that specific bike and it will tell you how to do everything.
