ROCKERS & ROLLERS

One of my mates wife has this Day Care center going and they had an idea to do it up with some flair. The idea explains itself really and they wanted something with an old Grease movie, 50s rocker theme. It took a while to get the look I had in the back of my mind and there were several attempts at the style. The first was a sad attempt at a style I saw earlier and they ended up looking like aliens rather than cute babies. The boy and girl on the far right were the second try, which we thought was good but wasn't edgy enough. The third attempt are the 2 on the left. The kid on the big wheel and the one with the guitar are just me going the extra mile. And of course, became everyones favorites. In all we decided to use all of them to decorate the place.

Surfer Joe & Tigger Newlin

Here are some more pieces from Neuball. I made some amazing breakthroughs working on these pieces...more on how simple it is to capture feeling...and especially how easy it really is. These first batch of images changed the way I looked at art completely. If anything what it really did was answer a few things of what I've been chasing for the last 5 years. Or made me realize what it is that I was doing.

Danny O

This is one of the hundreds of characters I designed for Neuball. We are currently shopping the concept but I figured I'd share a few of the drawings. This is the best project I've ever worked on and the lessons learned could fill a lifetime.

Power girl sketch

So this is a picture of a con sketch that I stumbled on while surfing the web. It's one of the kinda colored pieces I do from time to time. Back in the day my con sketches were terrible, as I was in a bit of a hit and miss and collecting money. After a while too many bad sketches haunted me. Now I try to put a little bit of the cosmos in all my pieces, however small or trivial. I'm actually cool with how this one turned out. This was the midst of my Neuball period so the lines are more flowing and loose which works well for this piece.

ICON SIREN HELMET

Here's a helmet graphic I designed for Icon's female line. This was too much fun to do and best yet, they gave me enough time to make it nice. It's the Helmet I wear when I ride. I can't tell if it's the good design why they look or if it's because it's a dude wearing a pink helmet :D Stay tuned as I'm designing a few more for them.

You can see a 360 view off it here http://rideicon.com/product_details.jsp?category=1660&id=6918

Racer

Been a minute since I updated so here goes. Here a few racer pieces I did last year for a little gig. These were fun as this is my fave subject matter. I kinda feel they have a little extra spice to them.
