Some brush play on this piece. I think to really get a hang of using the brush is to go super long hours; like 12 hours minimum. By around the 8th hour you'll start to get a good feel and start to dance with it. The last 4 you get to show off and throw it around like a pro. The density of the ink is important as well as the quality of the brush. I suggest the best brush you can find.. Windsor-Newton watercolor sable is a good start. Try different mixture of ink and water as well...the thinner the ink the easier it is to move.
