How long's it been since an update? Needless to say, this time a year it's hard to keep me in the studio. You know trying to get the last bit of being out side, wrenching and riding motorcycles in the mountains where I belong. Convention season is about done, so I get to hibernate in a few months. I swear I hate winter, but perhaps without the cold I would not be able to sit in the studio.

This was an idea that took a life of it's own. It's a bit unfinished, but lost interest in it right now...on to paying work...lol

Hedningarna is one of my favorite experimental/traditional Nordic bands. They've got some great music that inspires.

Not quite as bootilicious, but cute in her own right. This was a commission on the back of the big 50 girl...the client wanted the Suicide Bomber girl with the big 50 gun. Compromise works :D

Suicide bomber

So this is a piece I did about a year ago. Was a bit of some idea generation for a client, but took a life of it's own as seems to be the case for a lot of my pieces these days. As usual had a few epiphanies while doing her.

Spider Bite

This is a piece I did in the middle of last year. The drawing dates back to sometime in 06 but never got to painting it till 08. Surprisingly it's one of my more popular pieces. Surprising because the predominant element is a car. I thought only car guys liked cars, but I guess with the incentive of a pretty girl it's easy to accept. I think the defining character is the girls stare. Hard to replicate.
